Contrary to the opiate the politicians and the media > are trying to sell to us, education is not a substitute for sound economic policy. > This is not a mere U.S. problem. This is a global problem. Everywhere, in Europe, Asia, etc., you see highly-educated people unable to find jobs because 1) routine white collar work have been automated 2) even advanced work is outsourced to lower- wage countries 3) there's an oversupply of educated people and not enough jobs to absorb all of them. Some go into small businesses themselves; some never find any jobs; some work in jobs that don't require any formal education. some marry rich. You talk exactly like Karl Marx. I thought you were a capitalist azzzholle. This is the hypocrisy of the educated people. When they saw blue collar jobs getting automated, outsourced, etc., they didn't care because they were white collar works and the trends didn't affect them personally. Now that they see their own jobs getting outsourced, etc., they cry foul. I mentioned teaching before. why don't you consider that? do you know that in most countries, even advanced countries in Europe and Asia, you have to be in the top 1% of college grads to get a teaching job? You see, Americans are fuuuqqqing dumbbells. Complain as they do, most American lawyers couldn't even obtain middle school teaching jobs if they were to live in Finland, Japan, whatever.
