That counts. > I have to put my two cents worth in: the firms advertising are always going to use the best looking associates on their websites and in their advertisements. Everyone does this. Where I worked before a group that was going to be advertising came to my unit and told me I was to change assignments for a couple of hours. Then they brought in the youngest prettiest person on duty and put her in my place to shoot the stills and commercial. Misleading? don't know, seems like it but what they hey, they weren't actually advertising me they were advertising the service. Insulting to me, hell yeah. Insulting to any professional that doesn't look like a movie star? F*** yeah. And this was done by a group of women none under 40 and none of whom would be considered attractive! Ladies, we do it to each other, why would anyone be surprised that the guys do it too? The mega firms can afford to hire the smart AND pretty ones. Of course they exploit that. They put the homely and overweight ones in the back row of the picture or leave them out completely. Same with guys as women, you never see any fat slobs on the website but you sure as heck see them in court. Remember all the hoopla at the beginning of the OJ trial about Marcia Clark and her hair? It's a fact of life we all just have to deal with. being enlightened, I myself try very hard not to judge a book by its cover or a law firm by how attractive the associates are.
