I know a guy who came out of lawschool. He was funny looking
from being hit too many times in bar fights, broke, and not
too bright (I helped him through family law, crim pro, etc.)
He would score a 20. 10 in ambition and 10 in manipulation.
He started practice before passing the bar as a legal document
prep. He passed the bar, after several attempts, and ran a
successful shop in a suburban neighborhood. Took every case
that came in the door and grossed over 250k the second year
out. So screw the predictors. Life is about sheer
determination.
