I suspect that you're suggesting that my concern about this issue is
overblown and/or that I'm not willing to fight it out amongst
competition in a difficult field. However, I believe that it needs
to be a very serious consideration when deciding whether or not to
make an investment of time, money, and opportunity cost in career
training today, especially during a period of structural economic
upheaval when career tracks that are available today could be gone
tomorrow.

Do you believe that what I suggested seems unrealistic or untenable?
Is it unforeseeable that increasing amounts of prescriptions will
be filled by mail-order? If that is a foreseeable possibility, then
why is it also unforeseeable that the work could be done in a
foreign country? After all, some drugs are already coming in from
Canada and Congress has come under some pressure to do what it can
to reduce prescription drug prices. Thus, I don't see why
prescriptions of U.S. FDA approved drugs couldn't be filled by
foreign pharmacists if laws were changed to allow it. Perhaps it
would be legal for an insurance company to make that arrangement
right now as long as the specific drugs were FDA approved.
