    here's another idea . . . find another line of work. this is
    crap. sorry, i'm not trying to ruin your dreams of fortue,
    but this is silly. why don't you accept the fact that your
    investment in law school didn't work out for you in the
    traditional sense. there are other area where a law degree
    is useful but not required.

    you're going to be way better off joining up with some
    company and climbing the ladder unless you're just too damn
    independent for that. in addition to the obvious costs, have
    you thought of health insurance, malpractice insurance etc?

    and what do you think your best case scenario is in 5 years?
    i think you're on the high end to think you'll be making 60k
    a year. you can probably get a job making 45 or 50k now with
    you law degree as an asset. hopefully you'll have benefits
    and some type of retirement package.

    think this over. just another way of looking at it.
