Can you do your own clerical work? If you're thinking about closing your practice, your paralegal is going to lose his or her job anyway. You may want to consider letting the paralegal go and continuing your practice alone. If you're interested in other opportunities in the legal field, I think there are several small firms or companies that would give you a chance. Firms like entrepreneurial attorneys.
