Joe, glad to hear that you're doing well.
Re: time it takes to start making good: I read somewhere that most new
businesses take at least 3-4 years to make a profit, although I don't know
how reliable those figures are or even where they came from, come to think
of it. But assuming they are true or close to true, why would an attorney's
office be any different? If you have a fall-back position that is great,
although it is incredibly hard to work two jobs, especially if one is as
demanding psychologically as law. Kudos. And the support not just
financial is vital to many of us, the emotional support from family and
friends can sometimes make the difference as to whether you stick it out or
throw in the towel. Maybe Randy/L/Martin/the-sandwich-guy just needed a few
more hugs and a cheer-leading section. :)
