Re: legalmatch.com--is it worth it?

While I'm sure that I will be attacked, I wanted to chime in. I think it all
depends on what practice area you are focussed. I've used LegalMatch in connection
to my domestic relations practice and I have taken in close to 20 clients in a year
and a half. The fees I have generated have already paid for my subscription.
Admittedly, you have to troll through hundreds of case postings of individuals who
do not have the money to pay a lawyer. However, you can usually glean enough info
from the posting itself to know if its even worth posting a response.
There are some good cases out there. It just takes time to find them. I just went
through a 4-month drought where I didn't generate a single new case from
LegalMatch. This week, 2 new clients came in, each with $2,500 retainers.
