Re: Sunbeam heating pad
Posted by Judy Milazzo on 11/18/05

On 11/18/05, Judy Milazzo wrote: I am in the process right now with
trying to get compensated for my heating pad catching on fire. I have
gotten only a standard form letter saying I will be contacted within
48 hours, but of course, have not been. I did speak to someone
initially on the phone who told me that heating pads are not meant to
be laid against. It says it in the documents that come with the
heating pad. She also told me that this is a fairly new instruction,
that something has been put into the heating pad within the last few
years that can cause fire if it is pressed upon. I suggested that
this 'device' should perhaps be taken out. I would like any responses
as to how anyone else resolved this issue with Sunbeam.
