On Saturday November 18th, 2006, my Sunbeam Heating Pad malfunctioned.
I noticed a gas type smell while lying on the heating pad. Upon
inspection of the heating pad, black burn marks were detected and the
heating pad appeared to be oozing a liquid substance. The following
damages occurred beneath where the heating pad had been positioned:
The bottom sheet was charred/burn holes. The mattress cover was
charred/burn holes. The mattress has small char/burn hole.
I have notified Sunbeam, Health Canada, Consumer Products Safety, but
to-date I have still not received a response.
