Post: Dental Malpractice

I lost my molar due to a failed root canal. My former dentist did an incomplete root canal, caused a perforation and broke off an instrument in the root canal which resulted in having the molar extracted. He also failed to inform me of the above mistakes. I found out from an endontists because my former dentist was not with the dental clinic any longer. He was the director of the clinic and they told me he had moved on to private practice. I have incurred about $5,000.00 in dental costs due to the failed root canal and I still have to have an implant to replace the extracted molar. Does anyone know if I have a malpractice case against the dentist and/or the clinic he worked for? Thanks for your help.
