Post: slip and fall
Posted by james rabus on 3/02/05
five years ago my mother had a slip and fall injury accident. she retained counsel and has been dealing with the same attorneys ever since. there are two partie involved. the leasee and the leasor. the tenant, from my understanding is responsable for all things inside the four walls of the facility. the property manager is responsable for the grounds themselves. the accident happened outside of the leased space. I would think that the liability would fall on the property manager. well the case went to trial and was declaired a mistrial because the leasee filed bankrupcy. now the attorneys want my mother to seek other counsel to take the case to trial. where should the focus be? should she seek other counsil? my mother is now on ssi. she was working 2 jobs at the time and earned close to $60000.00 a year. can anyone offer any guidance?
