Witnesses state that the driver was doing approx. 40-45 in 25
zone. Witness says that boy was trying to cross street after
complete stop at stop sign but driver was going to fast.
Driver did not see boy and hit him. Boy sustained closed head
injury. 3 fractures of the skull, bruised brain, blood on the
brain, partially collapsed lung. Boy missed 2 months of
school and could not play for 6 mos. Otherwise appears to
have made good recovery.
