How time does an ins. company have to make a settlement
payment either awarded by a jury/court case or out of
court settlement?
Also once a settlement is reached. Does the plantiff have
to wait until the attorney receives the settlement check
from the ins. company, before the plantiff receives
his/her's compensation? Or can the law firm advance the
award payment minus the attorney fees?
My attorney is away on vacation and I was just curious on
how this works.
