Post: defamated by landlord

Posted by Sharlene on 10/27/05

I signed a one year lease in April 2003. I assume it was
rolled over, then they added changes to another lease. Am
I still responsible if the changes were authorized with
only the intial of my boyfriend and not mine?

My landlord recently evicted my boyfriend for not paying
rent. Can they just show up one day and give him 48 hours
to move out with a court order?

He then was arrested for check forgery. And the landlord,
Nancy Hooper called people I had for references and told
them things about me to damage my character. Can I sue her
for using my information to investigate my history and
then accusing me and telling these people that I used
someones accout to pay for rent when this was not true. It
was my boyfriend who did the crime, but can she use the
information I provided to her to make comments and lies
    about me?
