I owe a credit card company approx. $2000(which probable
came to that much b/c of interest) and do to financial
difficulties and emotional hardships I stop making
payments on the bill. Recently, I recieved a letter from
an attorney's office stating for me to either fill out
their questionaire or come to court on a particular date.
The letter states that if I don't appear in court they
will have me arrested. I am currently in the process of
looking into filing bankrupcy or doing debt consolidation.
If I send him a letter stating this before the court date,
would I still have to go to court. Please help... I would
like to get out of debt and be debt free in 2006..
