I owned an insurance agency and worked for a large
insurance company for 5 years. I decided to take my
contract value and get a job working for someone else
where I could have a normal schedule, benefits, etc. I
have been told by two other agents that our district
manager has told them not to have any contact with me
because I am being investigated for money and policies
missing. Which is totally untrue! He also stated that I
will be lucky if I don't end up in jail. I have been gone
from that company for 6 months and just recently was made
aware of these rumors. I have been having a hard time
finding a new job within this field and I think now I know
why. I was a good ethical and honest agent. I am so
angry right now, WHAT DO I DO? Do I have any recourse? I
can't believe that they would do this to me.
