Re: Welcome to the Trial Lawyers Chatboard!

Nice seeing that Counsel.Net has installed a section for
Trial Lawyers, of which I am one. I have let my membership
in A.T.L.A. and the LA Trial Lawyers Association expire. I
need to soon rejoin both of them. Instead I pay about
$350.00 a year to the A.B.A. for little more than a monthly
magazine. I know that A.T.L.A. is a great organization, as
is the Federal Bar Association, of which I am a member and
have been for many years. The Federal Bar membership card
and the Federal Bar Number are worth every bit of the Annual
Dues to the F.B.A. When the gatekeeper at the jail demands
to see your bar card before you can visit with a prisoner,
flash your Federal Bar card on him and watch the gate swing
open to let you in. And along with your state bar number at
the foot of pleadings, put your Federal Bar number too.
Also, on your letter head. It commands attention, at least
as I see it. There is more to it all than this, but this is
    something to think about.

    Sincerely,

    Hardy Parkerson, Atty.
    LA Bar No. 10327
    Federal Bar No. 22275
