Post: Workmans comp and child support

Posted by Melissa on 5/19/09

My ex-husband has had a claim in for workman's comp since
january 24, 2009, Workman's comp has not paid him yet, he
had to attend several hearings and I believe he will most
likely get back paid. My question is he back owes child
support approximately $10,000.00 to date (this has added up
from medical and many years of not paying here and there) I
am told that the child support will be taken from the top,
but will they pay the full amount or only a percentage. He
is expecting around 11,000.00 to be back paid. He has not
paid any child support since January. Any help would be
appreciated. I have no way of finding out if he wins the
workman's comp or how much he gets paid. We live in two
different states and he really isn't much of a father.
