Post: Ex-inlaws interfear in work comp. settelment..

Posted by marci on 5/17/05
Aclose friend of mine is involved in a workmans comp law suit that has been going on for the past 31/2 years. Now at the end of his battle his lawyer tells him that his ex mother in law has contacted an attorney and is now having his settelment changed from one lump some to monthly payments because she is afraid he will not pay his childsupport.. Keep in mind he is not even in the rears,he is paid up to date. Is this possible for an outsider to be able to do this. Thats like going and guarnishing someones wages because you think they might be late or miss a payment. Dosen't sound right to me..Is there anything that can be done? Please let me know he 's about ready to settel and is falling for this!! Thank you Marci Gibson
