Joe: I too am in the midst of a first workers comp injury.
Got screwed by the hospital I worked for -they fired me after
I had surgery; I still cannot raise my right arm without
using the left arm to lift it. Unemployed, no income,
applied for unemployment; wondering what my rights are; does
not seem right that a company could fire an injured worker
who cannot raise their arm and is still in the process of
physical therapy. Let me know what you find out about
settlement. I am wondering the same thing. Looking for a
    lawyer. Thanks.
