While it is illegal to fire an individual in retaliation for filing a workers comp claim, you can still be fired. You say for 'bs' reasons, you need to be sure that there is no truth to the resons behind your termination. If you truly feel the reason for firing you is trumped up and they have no 'proof' supporting this reason; then you need to contact an attorney right away. Although, I can't tell you how many people say they have been terminated for 'false' reasons. Most of the time they are legitimate. In addition, regardless of your employment status, your workers comp claim will remain in tact.
