Post: WHAT NOW! KY. 1st diagnose wrong - 2nd work related hernia

I was lifting a tot of automotive parts from a shoulder high rack, they slipped and I caught them but during this action I felt a sharp sting or stabbing sensation in my abdomin, reported it, filed paper work out, Production Manager had to do his normal, you did this wrong thing. Front office safety/workers comp officer did his spill about we don't need another workers comp..... I wanted to see my doctor with the normal spill we won't pay, we don't accomodate personal physician restrictions... ya da da. I didn't want the hassle ant didn't really think much could be wrong. Went to my Doctors office when I could get an appointment, but could not get in to see Dr. had to see nurse practioner, she said was pulled muscle... but not really full exam. Prescribed muscle relaxer, continued pain but thought that was normal, noticed a little swelling, went back in 1 month, saw her again and explained pain would come back with work activites. She said it would take several weeks. I waited again. Pain would return and increase with various activities made another appointment 6-8 weeks later at urging of Chiroprator, the decided to cancel and go to a different Dr. Immediate diagnosis was hernia and he said in my condition and the severity of the injury I needed immediate attention, that it could be life theatening, he will begin the referral to a specialist asap. My personal Health Insurance will most likely deny saying it is worker's comp responsibility and vice-versa. I will be returning to work Sunday evening but have no more time off (vacation) and any more time I take will be counted against me. Monday will be the first opportunity to report this (it is Saturday) Should I report or wait til I have a lawyer because they will immediately deny liability. Even with some sort of Workers Comp income I loose because I work 2 other jobs both of which I could loose. Need advice fast. This is all in Kentucky. Thank you.
