The first thing we need to identify is what state you are
in. In Florida under the workers' compensation system, you
have the right to a second medical opinion one time within a
specialty. Therefore you can requst a change of physician or
a second opinion from another hand surgeon. CAUTION, you may
wish to seek counsel as you only get one bite at this
    apple.

Did your current doctor provide you with a final impairement
    raiting yet (MMI)?

We also would need to find out what caused the fall and the
crush injury. The fact your employer owned the building does
not preclude you from potentially pursuing a third party
claim against another contractor. For example if your
employer (the building owner) hired a janitorial company and
they failed to place proper wet floor notices and you
slipped and fell on the floor, you would have the right to
file a claim against that entity without the employers
    workers' compensation immunity.

    Hope this helps.
