Post: work illnesses

Posted by donald olson on 6/24/08

I got brucellosis at a packing house i worked in for 28
years in the same department the rendering,am still unable
to work and was denied workmans comp. because they didnt
think i had gotten it there.I testified that i hadnt been
around any other cattle which is where this brucellosis
comes from ,and i hadnt consumed any unpasterized dairy
products which left only the packing house as a
source ,since they are allowed to kill cattle with
    brucellosis.The workmans comp.judge said i couldnt prove
thats where it came from although it is listed as an
occupational hazard in packing houses on the c.d,c,
site.Which by the way wouldnt list my affirmed case for
over a year and a half ,i had to force them to do so after
    seeing 3 c.d.c. doctors a year earlier.The workmans comp.
insurance is a farce, just another way to screw the working
man,and all states have now adopted this law. They can fire
you at any time which they did me,and you cant do anything
about it.You can NOT sue any company in the 50 states for
injury even if they were neglegent. We are screwed
    workers ,good luck.
