Post: teacher injured by student

i was forced to retire early because of an injury caused
by a student. it's been 2 yrs. still suffering. can i
sue the district for pay i would have received if i'd
retired two years later, as planned? or for the difference
it made in my retirement income? how do i find an
attorney willing to fight the district? or can i settle
with the district without an attorney? i do have a claim
filed, and am still receiving medical treatment, with
operation in future....help
