I was injured on the job a violent attack ( but not
intentional by alzheimer redident) beginning with my wrist
as point of contact. My employer decides to not file my
claim and apparently pay out of pocket sending me to thier
doctor with a treatmnt to release form.
dr says strain to the nerve because their was numbing of rt
pinky and ring finger the followin monday if numbing did
not cease call him hed refer to orthopedic. orthopedic
suspects a compressed nerve and would love to do emg but
because at the time it was wc he had to go step by step.
therapy and drugs first option .he does suspect possible
severed or torn nerve which radiates with pain in arm and
neck he gave me a shot above shoulder blade to calm the
irritation which did not work in fact by 3rd day left hand
which was fine was numb and all symptoms of rt. i called
for another appt because of this they call me back to say
there is no workmans comp i in turn called employer they
claimed to have filed but few days later i found out for
sure when they filed they filed the day i called them to
ask why they hadnt had their deposition call that day ( the
tenth day) and sent all my paper work the 11th day. i was
suppose to start thertapy sept 8th well still playing tag
and cant start anything. Today sept 18th i was suppose to
see ortho dr for reval. He would have decied to do mri and
emg but cant because of all this. This morning as well got
a call i was denied wc because of 2 past claims one bein
the left hand i had CT surgery on and healed and bk to work
and lower bk injury. worker said because of my past claims
she is deying me but she will look over them past injuries
and may turn around her descision.
i signed off on them and healed i cant go bk for treatment
after settlement. i was perfectly fine before this injury
and now things are worse than ever with current one and no
treatment. so i went yesterday to ER the doctor confirmed
pinched nerve in neck which has caused the numbing in my
hands and that the shot probally hit the nerve and made
left numb as well. THe dr was very upset my job isnt taking
this serious and lol said ill fix them no more light duty
ur out of work till u can be revaluated.
I have been in medical field 15 years and alzheimers is my
specialty you can not underestimate all the different
levels nor can you know when they are gonna become
irritated . This happens when you least exspect it.
I have so much more to tell you like my job called my other
job which i only sit no work really needed i care for my
fiances mom in our home she does for herself just have to
fix supper etc keep her company. my job called that company
for dates of employment i bet to see where i was injured .
lucky for me it was after the injury we got the papers
finally through.. So they lost out.. They are constantly
harasssing me. Oh my theres lots more i could say. My
question is how can they deny due to old past injuries?
What do I do? Plz answer as soon as u can .ty and God Bless
