Post: how does WC discover/get info on previous injuries?

can WC find out about/discover about pre-existing injuries
from 8 years ago?this previous injury did not occur at a
job, and no disability claim was filed since i was not
working, and i was covered under my parents insurance at
the time. can they now have access/get that info, and how?
wouldnt they have to know who my provider was at that time?
