Illinois MCLE Questions & Answers
The CBA is Your Local Spot for MCLE:
On January 1, 2006, Minimum Continuing Legal Education
(MCLE) became effective for most Illinois attorneys. The
Chicago Bar Association is here to help our members meet
the plan’s requirements through no-cost and low-cost
programming. To help our members control the cost of MCLE,
the CBA developed the CLEADVANTAGE discount seminar plan.
Additionally, the CBA will track and record member
attendance at CBA committee meetings and seminars, to make
MCLE reporting a snap!
If you have questions regarding MCLE in Illinois, please
contact Beth McMeen, CLE Director, at 312-554-2051.
Unlimited free MCLE for committee meeting attendance!
Members will receive* MCLE credit for attendance at most
committee meetings. As a member, you can attend any
committee meeting. You will need to bring your membership
card to electronically record your attendance at a
meeting. If you need a replacement membership card, call
the CBA Legal Bookstore at 312-554-2130.
