Primary responsibilities include the preparation and submission of Commerce and State Department export license applications and agreements as required to support the company's business units and their international programs.
Duties will require compiling pertinent information to accurately and effectively write commercial and military export license applications for the export of controlled hardware and/or technical data, services, and manufacturing activities.
Candidate will be required to support export activities associated with export licenses and exemptions, and to maintain accurate records and databases associated with export license applications.
Candidate will perform within an export compliance team setting and coordinate, via robust communication skills, with team members and various business units to obtain desired licenses and support other pertinent matters as required to assist the export compliance team and the company.
Candidate will also be required to maintain and revise both desk and company procedures related to export compliance, edit and maintain appropriate export compliance website content, provide one-on-one export compliance guidance to internal customers, and contribute to and conduct internal training toward matters related to export controls.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
College degree required. 6-10+ years of related experience, including 3-5 years experience drafting export licenses and understanding key concepts of export regulations in Commercial and Military technologies.
Technical background within an aerospace manufacturing environment preferred, but not required. Familiarity with U.S. export and import regulations including, but not limited to the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). Familiarity with the mechanics of export licensing, specifically with the usage of D-Trade and SNAP-R.
Candidate must have excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills. Must be a team player with multi-tasking abilities within a time sensitive environment.
