Casino Careers Online has a client seeking a candidate for a Assistant General Counsel - Intellectual Property

position.

Description

We are currently seeking an Assistant General Counsel for IP who will be responsible for capturing and protecting innovation. Job functions shall primarily consist of patent prosecution, with additional responsibilities to include: advising engineering on the patentability of development work and examination of prior art, opining on potential third party infringement claims, patent prosecution and related matters.

Duties:
• Draft patent applications and responses to USPTO office actions.
• Maintain a detailed understanding of products and technical developments.
• Conduct patentability studies and draft related assessments.
• Advise project teams on IP matters
• Work with internal and external legal resources to draft and prosecute patent applications.

Requirements

• Five to seven years experience as practicing patent attorney
• Experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications
• Excellent writing and academic credentials
• B.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering
• J.D. degree
