Safeco's Corporate Legal Department is currently seeking a Senior Compliance Analyst to join our team. That person will be responsible for the following:
Responsibilities
- Apply knowledge of Insurance Regulations and/or broader knowledge across multiple Regulatory Compliance specialty areas
- Research and analyze regulations, and correspond as necessary with the Legal Department, and state regulators.
- Modify or create control procedures to ensure compliance
- Communicate regulatory requirements to affected business partners and facilitate what is needed to ensure compliance
- Participate in or conduct internal compliance reviews to monitor ongoing compliance
- Participate in Market Conduct exams and compliance issues relevant to property and casualty
- Support company licensing and take on other projects if required
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3-5 years underwriting, claims, compliance or equivalent experience
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- Excellent analytical skills
- An effective communicator with very strong verbal and written communication skills; able to prepare clear presentations and reports
- Able to prioritize well and complete multiple tasks at the same time
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Pursues tasks with energy and drive, operates with a high degree of independence
