Ryder is currently seeking a Senior Compliance Analyst who will be responsible for:
· representing the company in mediations before the EEOC and state agencies;
· writing EEOC position statements;
· supervising outside counsel;
· interfacing with state and federal governmental agency officials:
· developing and conducting training on Litigation Avoidance, Advanced Investigations, Leaves of Absence, and other topics for HR managers and field operators;
· preparing legal updates for the Global Compliance Group and HR professionals;
· drafting the ‘Setting Higher Standards” compliance column for the Ryder People publication;
· serving on and leading task forces, as appropriate;
· drafting and approving corporate policies for legal sufficiency;
· overseeing the development of compliance training for lower level employees;
· interviewing employees or complainants, and conducting investigations, when appropriate;
· conducting compliance audits, analyzing results and generating reports and potential policy recommendations to appropriate departments;
· serving as backup to the OFCCP liaison;
· serving as backup to the administrator of the Drug and Alcohol program
Education/Experience/Skills/Required Qualifications:
- BA. required. J.D. or 7-10 years of increasing responsibility in an HR, compliance, legal or audit role preferred.
- Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills.
- Project management experience.
- Extensive training experience.
- Ability to conduct legal research
- Experience in conducting sensitive investigations.
- Ability to work with all levels of a corporation.
- Travel 20-30%
