Employment Counsel
The Employment Counsel will provide day-to-day counseling, drafting of human resource policies, training and compliance. As Employment Counsel, the individual must maintain subject matter expertise in employment law related areas, including state laws and emerging issues, have a proven track record of high performance and a collaborative work style.
This is a newly created position within our Employment Counseling and Labor Relations Team.
The candidate should have 4-7 years of experience with a background in management-side legal representation. The successful candidate will have employment law experience including day-to-day counseling to human resource professionals; investigative skills, policy development; administration and compliance with Title VII, ADA, FMLA, and wage and hour requirements; employment agreements. Strong analytical, oral and written communication skills, problem-solving ability, work ethic, maturity, and commitment to client service are essential to this position. The candidate must have strong academic credentials and be a member in good standing of at least one state bar.
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant in-house experience for a national employer is preferred.
