Position Purpose
Under the supervision of Senior Counsel, review, draft, manage, analyze and maintain various vendor agreements and related documents to meet company policy and legal objectives.
Essential Functions
Assist legal counsel and clients in drafting and review of master agreements and leases, including renewals, terminations and amendments.
Prepare correspondence, reports, abstracts and related materials in connection with vendor contracts.
Assist legal counsel in analyzing, summarizing legal documents, research various laws from analtycial view point and apply and communicate findings as appropriate.
Assist in licensing and related regulatory matters.
Other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time realizing and maintaining company goals.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
· Assist in filing, retention and organization of vendor agreements
· Publish and maintain vendor forms library on legal web-page
· Prepare and assemble materials for meetings and trainings
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
· Skilled in current Microsoft applications, modern business office practices and equipment, including on-line research.
· Analytical thinking approach to solve problems.
· Organizational skills to maintain files, records and logs and meet deadlines and time frames.
· Excellent written communication skills
Education
4 year college degree preferred
Paralegal Degree or Certificate or similar required
EXPERIENCE
· 2-4 years recent paralegal or similar legal experience in private practice or in-house legal department position required.
· 1 to 2 years contract experience required.
· Experience in hospitality, real estate, or timeshare industry a plus, but not required
OTHER
· Must be able to manage various assignments at the same time
· Must be able to prioritize work
· Ability to abstract and present significant facts from data and interpret policy and procedures
· Professional communicaton and excellent writing skills
