Our client, a worldwide leader in the semiconductor industry, is searching for a Patent Attorney to provide legal counsel and business guidance on intellectual property matters and ensure maximum protection of company's intellectual property.

ˇ Responsibilities:

Coordinate with and/or supervise and provide legal and technical assistance to domestic and foreign attorneys and agents in filing and prosecuting both domestic and foreign patent applications.
Manage inventions and US patent application filings.
Formulation of company policies affecting the US region including: worldwide patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, employee confidentiality agreements and licensing agreements.
Maintain minimum level of proficiency on intellectual property law in all relevant countries and provide training to engineers and managers on: patents and inventions, trade secrets, copyrights and trademarks.
Advise on the proper course of action to engineers and managers on intellectual property issues.
Assist in patent licensing, negotiation and drafting of agreements.

Requirements:

JD and registered with at least one bar or USPTO.
8-10 years of experience with technical background such as electrical engineering, chemistry, chemical engineering or physics.
Semiconductor experience preferred.
Patent licensing experience a plus.
