Senior IP Corporate Counsel
Job Responsibilities:
This position is based in Sunnyvale CA and will report into Director of Intellectual Property.
Responsible for drafting and negotiating a broad range of technology contracts, such as inbound software licenses, joint development agreements, consulting agreements, and other technology related licenses. The candidate should have in-depth experience in complex and custom technology licenses, especially in the areas of software and semiconductor. International transactions experience is a plus. The person must also have a strong understanding of general intellectual property issues, including open source licenses and the implementation of such licenses. The position requires excellent communication skills and will be working extensively with the engineering and product marketing community.
Qualifications:
• Juris Doctor Degree from accredited law school
• Member of the California Bar
• Three to six years of relevant IP experience (in-house experience is a plus)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
• Strong counseling and judgment required, as is the ability to make practical evaluations of risk in diverse areas.
• Ability to learn quickly, detailed-oriented, and ability to handle tight deadlines.
