CORPORATE COUNSEL - TX (Addison )

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Legal Director & Corporate Counsel needs assistant at rapidly growing privately held international technology consulting company.
ESSENTIAL DUITES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
•Review, draft, and negotiate client services agreements, statements of work, contract amendment documents, non-disclosure agreements, referral and marketing agreements
•Research and analyze legal issues as requested by Legal Director
•Assist in the development of standard form agreements
•Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to facilitate legal compliance
•Advise management on a variety of legal issues to minimize risk and save money
•Manage litigation if and as needed
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
•Broad background and understanding of contract structure and issues
•Excellent drafting skills
•Well-developed legal and business judgment
•Experience with variety of legal issues helpful (intellectual property, technology, privacy, corporate governance, employment, privacy, insurance, real estate, litigation)
•Ability to work on a wide range of complex matters with minimal supervision, often in a time-sensitive environment
•Track record of establishing strong working relationships with internal business clients and within the legal department
•Outstanding communication (verbal and written) and organization skills and initiative
•Detail-oriented
•Team player
•Positive attitude
Required Experience:
•Minimum of 6 years
•Computer-proficient (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
•In-house strongly preferred
•Support to sales organization and/or consultants strongly preferred
•Technology and/or business management consulting industries strongly preferred
Required Education:
•JD or equivalent degree from an accredited law school
•License to practice law, preferably in Texas
