One billion dollar-plus brick & mortar, high technology company seeks an experienced transactional attorney for a high-level attorney position in its Los Angeles-based Legal Department. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience, preferably at a Fortune 1000-sized company, handling large, complex domestic and international transactions involving aerospace, security or defense matters, with specific experience handling merger & acquisition, government contracting & regulatory compliance, import/export issues, employment/human resources, intellectual property, tax, securities, risk assessment & mitigation, advising Boards of Directors and Executive Management on corporate structure, governance and general commercial issues, oversight and direction of litigation matters, and all other day-to-day business negotiation and issue-management challenges that can arise in the management of a large international company. Experience helping hire, train and supervise attorneys, either in a Big Law Firm or Large Company environment; ensuring compliance with U.S., local and foreign regulatory requirements; responding to audits and administrative/court actions involving governmental authorities; communicating effectively with internal clients at all levels; and bringing a practical, creative and on-the-ground approach to complex problems is also a must.
