SECURITY MANAGER - HI (WAIKOLOA)

The purpose of this position is to plan, direct and coordinate activities relating to the protection and security of company assets, team members, guests and owners ensuring that established goals and objectives are accomplished with prescribed priorities, time limitations and fiscal responsibilities.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Plans, examines, analyzes, evaluates and supervises security operations.
Prepares reports for management team, evaluates current procedures, practices and precedents for accomplishing activities and functions relative to security.
Prepares periodic budget estimates and reports, orders supplies and equipment as needed.
Supervises security personnel initiating personnel actions including recruitment, selections, transfers, promotions and discipline or dismissal, prepares work schedules, assigns or delegates responsibilities and evaluates performance.
Conducts, supervises and prepares reports relating to internal investigations of any losses or violations of regulations, policies and procedures.
Serves as liaison with public law enforcement, fire and other agencies as it relates to security.
Ensures overall compliance with OSHA rules and regulations and maintains proper MSDS labeling and records.
Assists in the implementation, training and administration of automated security systems, maintains records and conducts periodic inspections.
Administers training with regard to loss prevention, fire, blood borne pathogens, first aid, CPR and all other safety related topics to all team members. Responsible for all Corporate Safety Audits and will be instrumental in the onsite Safety Committee. .

Job Requirements :
Ability to communicate effectively and courteously, both verbally and in writing, with guests, team members, managers and all other department staff of all ages. Protects guests, owners, and team member’s rights, dignity and confidentiality with a respectful attitude. Ability to make independent and good judgment decisions analyzing and independently solving a variety of difficult situations and problems. Ability to speak, read, write and understand English language to complete job requirements and to communicate with team members, guests and owners. Knowledge of principles and practices of security operations and management, enforcement procedures and safety practices in a hospitality environment. Ability to assess operational, program, staffing and fiscal needs identifying and resolving administrative problems.
