The Executive Committee members of a respected international law firm are bullish on adding more depth, power and business acumen to their Los Angeles office. They’re accordingly looking to talk with partners -- either singly, in practice groups or in the form of established law firms – who have compatible practices and professional outlooks.
The practice areas that would most readily fit into the LA office’s current profile would be business or securities litigation, corporate or real estate transactions, intellectual property or entertainment, and international practice of all kinds, especially in the arbitration arena. Needless to say, a significant, portable and dynamic book of business is a prerequisite for consideration.
Why would this firm merit attention over other international law firms? Size, for one thing. Our client is certainly large enough to have an international presence and public recognition, but it’s really not much larger than many medium-sized firms. This is a firm, in other words, in which everyone really knows everyone else. The firm's smaller size also translates into an absence of bureaucracy with regard to practice, hiring or client development decisions.
