Are you searching for a position in Asia that could offer you rapid opportunity for career growth? Our client, a worldwide leader in the semiconductor industry, is searching for a Patent Attorney based in Shanghai to manage their Asian patent activities.
ˇ Responsibilities:
Coordinate with and/or supervise and provide legal and technical assistance to domestic and foreign attorneys and agents in filing and prosecuting both domestic and foreign patent applications.
Manage inventions and patent application filings in several Asian countries.
Coordinate and Chair all Patent Committee Meetings for reviewing invention disclosures.
Conduct all activities before the Chinese Patent Office.
Formulation of company policies affecting the Asia/Pac region including: worldwide patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, employee confidentiality agreements and licensing agreements.
Maintain minimum level of proficiency on intellectual property law in all relevant countries and provide training to engineers and managers on: patents and inventions, trade secrets, copyrights and trademarks.
Advise on the proper course of action to engineers and managers on intellectual property issues.
Ability to communicate in Chinese is a plus.
Requirements:
Registered patent attorney from a PTO member country.
8-10 years of experience with technical background such as electrical engineering or physics.
Semiconductor experience helpful..
Patent licensing experience a plus.
Knowledge of US intellectual property law.
