I know of a situation in which a company recently changed
its attendance policy in which they no longer accept
doctors notes. The company operates on a point based
disciplinary system and each absence is 3 points. After 18
points an employee is terminated. Is it legal to terminate
someone in the state of Pennsylvania for being out sick
with this type of policy if they have not used there FMLA
12 weeks? Please inform me of any legal issues pertaining
to this situation.
