What is the legal responsibility of a person using someones
name without permission on the internet?
On a public internet forum that is read by thousands of
people a person is using my name to make racial slurs,
filthy sexual comments, post false information and make
slanderous remarks about myself. They have even threatened
my life. The company that supervises this forum has refused to do
anything dispite the many complaints that I have made. In
fact I believe they are now allowing this person to do this
as retaliation because of my complaints. Other users are
also being attacked, probably by the same person. They to
are making complaints. Is the company liable? Is it a crime? What type of crime?
