Post: Arizona DUI Impound Law Takes Effect

The new impound law that allows officers to impound your
vehicle for 30 days upon probable cause to arrest for
Extreme DUI has gone into effect. Some jurisdictions are
now acting on this law and impounding your vehicle. While
the law is still new and jurisdictions are experimenting
with their process, there is already a foolproof way to
avoid impound for a DUI arrest in Scottsdale.
Mesa is also already online, but is less strict than
Scottsdale in releasing the vehicles early.
Other cities are getting ready to go online, including
Phoenix, which will likly be the largest source of DUI
impounds in the country.
