They are just so damn expensive. At $10 or $15 a pop, you could go bankrupt ordering that free credit report on yourself. I'm with you, man. Search around and, if you're lucky, you might be able to retain a lawyer for $150 or so to send off a nasty letter. You'll be in the hole, but it's the principle of the thing. Then you can pay him or her another $150 to tackle the shenannigans at the free-cheese line.
