Post: monopoly

Posted by Michael on 3/26/07

There is a radio control helicopter manufacturer in China
that sells helicopters to distributors around the world.
They sell to only one hobby company in North America that
hasasoledistributor contract. I was able to obtain the
manufacturer’s products through a different approved
distributor in China and the hobby company in the US and
the manufacturer in China said I cannot sell their product
in the US because the hobby company is the sole retailer in
    North America.
My question, if I buy their helicopter from an another
manufacturer approved distributor in China, does the other
US company's sole distributor contract preclude me from
selling them in the US since I bought them from a
    manufacturer approved distributor?
    Thank you
