Post: breaking a rental contract

Owner sold rental home did not tell us, property management
company only sent a e-mail saying we have new owners.
Never did he say if our deposit was transfered to new
owner,or did he have us fill out a estoppel certificate.
So is our rental contract still a legal contract with the
new owner? We want out of the contract now.How does this
work?
