Post: statute of limitiations on felony theft warrants

Posted by shelly on 2/16/06
a friend of mine made a rental agreement to purchase furniture, after making a year of payments, she relocated to another state, not realizing the clause in her contract that stated she could not move the merch. out of state until it was paid in full. She was upset, offered to keep paying monthy and was refused by the company. She took the merch. with her and there after a warrant was issued for theft, valued at a little over $4000.00, state of (GA). She did not appear at court. Is there a statute of limitations for this type of crime or should she turn herself in and hope maybe the courts will accept some type of arrangements for payment? If she turns herself in, what is likely to happen, she lives 1200 miles away and needs to fix this problem in order to secure proper employment. Any help would be appreciated
