Ok. Hi. I was recently charged with theft but I didnt
physically steal anything it was my friend. All of the
merchandise was in her purse and i had nothing on me. She
and i left the store and left mall property and the security
guard followed us to another store. I was wondering if we
are off of mall property is it legal for a security guard to
follow us, search us, and frisk us. Also if the stuff she
stole were under 60 dollars shouldnt we have just got kicked
out the mall and sears and nothing as harsh as an m-1. Like
if i had nothing to do with this crime why am I getting
charged with a crime?
